Newbie Affiliate Secrets Review: What The…

Not From Cache
That was my reaction when I first scanned through Newbie Affiliate Secrets. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

You see, Stuart Stirling just released a new ebook called “Newbie Affiliate Secrets.” You can go check it out over here:

==> http://newbieaffiliatesecrets.com

But please DON’T BUY it yet. You want to know what you’re getting into, right? So, simply go through the sales page and then come back here.

I’m not going anyway. I’ll be right here waiting.

Back already? Good. I hope you haven’t bought Newbie Affiliate Secrets yet because you may be unhappy with it.

Newbie Friendly

Unhappy not because the Newbie Affiliate Secrets is aimed at newbies. No, no. Not that. I mean, the title of the ebook already tells you that much, doesn’t it? By the way, we aren’t talking only about internet marketing newbies here. We are talking about bum marketing—a form of article marketing—newbies too.

Anyway, for this group of beginners, Stuart Stirling has done a good job explaining and demonstrating the principles of bum marketing. He gives you clear steps to work on, including links to (mostly) free resources, to make bum marketing work for you. You can take a peek at the main outline of the ebook to see what he covers:

  • Introduction - Bum marketing, the easiest way to make affiliate commissions
  • Secrets of Bum Marketing Article Magic
  • Product Selection - Separate Winners from Losers
  • How to Conduct the Best, Free Keyword Research
  • Insider Secrets to Bum Marketing
  • Final Action Plan - 5 Steps to Successful Bum Marketing

Newbie Affiliate Secrets delivers quite well on its promises on the sales page. So, if you’re starting out on internet marketing or bum marketing, I’ll recommend Newbie Affiliate Secrets as an informative and actionable introduction.

What The…

But I still haven’t told you why I was unhappy, have I? Why I went “what the…” when I was scanning through Newbie Affiliate Secrets, right? Be patient, I’m coming to it now.

Like I said, the ebook is aimed at newbies. Still, anyone who has dabbled in article marketing or bum marketing may find a thing or two that they don’t know yet. The problem only comes up for those who have bought a few bum marketing ebooks in the last few months… like me. In this case, you may be unhappy with Newbie Affiliate Secrets. Why? Because…

Quite a few of the bum marketing ebooks are based on the same source. A PLR (private label rights) ebook.

Duh.

How do I know? I happened to have a copy of the bum marketing PLR. No, I don’t have anything against PLR. I use them myself. Neither am I saying that the bum marketing PLR isn’t good. I did pick up a few things when I first read through it. I went “what the…” simply because I’ve already gotten a few copies of similar bum marketing ebooks from a few “gurus”. So you can imagine my disappointment when scanning through Newbie Affiliate Secrets thinking that this is yet another one.

But wait!

Thinking? Am I saying that this isn’t one of them?

Well, yes and no. After I read more thoroughly through the ebook, I see that Stuart Stirling has actually taken the time and efforts to rewrite and add new materials to the PLR stuff. I estimate it to be up to 30-40% of the ebook. This alone puts Newbie Affiliate Secrets above the rest of the other same PLR-based bum marketing ebooks. Of those that I’ve on hand, none of them really bothered to add in new stuff.

A Bone To Pick

Still, I have one bone to pick with Newbie Affiliate Secrets. It’s the part about keyword research. Why is Stuart still recommending the Overture (http://inventory.overture.com) tool beats me.

I mean, Overture is dead after Yahoo took over. Their keyword search database are stagnant at January 2007 as at the time of this writing. Do you want to use outdated data for research? I know I won’t. Especially when you have other free alternatives now like WordTracker (http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com) or Keyword Discovery (http://www.keyworddiscovery.com). This is one area Stuart Stirling could have improved upon.

Final Say

OK. Bone picked. Let’s wrap this up.

If I have to pick one out of all the bum marketing ebooks I’ve seen so far to recommend, I’ll say go for Newbie Affiliate Secrets. Stuart Stirling introduces and outlines the steps for success in bum marketing quite clearly for anyone to follow.

Keep this in mind though: Newbie Affiliate Secrets is aimed more at newbies, internet marketing or bum marketing wise. If you’re one of them, good. Go for Newbie Affiliate Secrets. Otherwise you may be disappointed. Especially if you have gotten a few bum marketing products recently.

And oh. Watch out about the part on Overture. You’re better off using WordTracker or Keyword Discovery if you ask me.

    Hi :

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

I’ve always find articles writing a bit difficult especially when I run out of ideas. Is there an e-book which you would recommend to speed up my article writing?

    Thanks,

    Hi Kok Pang,

    My five cents worth.

I kinda agree with you. Rather than plunging into your pockets to get your credit cards. Thing one of the most critical success factor in affiliate marketing is to choose the right merchant and products.

I am a newbie myself and i have summarized the important criteria when choosing merchant to do internet marketing with.

Do take a look and leave your comments. Cheers! =D
